He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white remnant; and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (Revelation 3:5) Today is the celebration of Father's Day. Natural fathers throughout the world will be honored, and rightfully so. However, after the event that took place in Orlando this past week; I thought it best to remind ourselves concerning the timely advice our Heavenly Father gives us in the above Scripture. This event in Orlando, along with many elements in this world' wants to challenge our eternal reward. Sometimes we might wonder if our journey will ever come to an end. Beloved, though it may seem long and endless; it will come to end for us all. You too will stand before God; Jesus being your only defense. In Revelation chapter 6 verse 10, a request is made in heaven by some of our brother who have preceded us. Their request is to judge and avenge. The Lord's answer, "rest until God's will be done." White robes are given them to comfort their requests. In Revelation chapter 7 verse 14, we can read, "and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb." This is the only way to salvation, eternal life! In this, death has lost it's sting and the grave it's victory. No matter how great or minute the adversary may be, it's all designed to steal your relationship with God. Esau sold his birthright for a morsel of bread. Moses struck the rock in anger, causing him a disadvantage in this world. Keep your garment unspotted from the world (James 1:27) and remind yourself every day that your name is written in the book of life.Have a blessed and fruitful Father's Day.
