![]() Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10) As we journey through this side of eternity, the only valuable asset we possess that cannot be taken away is God. Jesus said, "I am with you always." (Matthew 28:20) Paul writes, "nothing can separate us from the love of God." (Romans 8:39) Again in Matthew the sixth chapter, Jesus advises us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. In the book of Exodus chapter 14 the Israelites were being pursued by their enemies the Egyptians. Feeling trapped by their circumstances, the Israelites cried to the Lord, "because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness?"(Exodus 14:11). Feeling they trusted God in vain and that he deceived them, their eyes could only be hold their enemies and the powers of darkness. They cried, "where are you God? Now that we have followed you, our enemies have gotten the advantage. They will certainly have their way with us. Did not we tell you to let us alone. It had been better for us to have continue to serve our troubles." God's reply, standstill and see the salvation of the Lord! (Exodus 14:13) Beloved, the just shall live by faith. Never call it quits until the Lord has spoken! But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
