And Jesus said unto him, "Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." ( Luke 23:43 ) Paradise! This word in Greek means, "a place of future happiness." It's getting so today that with lifestyles what they are, along with the constant cares of this world, many hardly have any time to ever think about a place called "Paradise." With only 24 hours in a day to get the job done, time seems to be at a premium. Then, there is the need to feed our fleshly desires. You know, the things we want to do. Some are habits, some just make us feel good, while others are engaged in, simply because of present or future plans. In the above Scripture, Jesus spoke these life changing words to one of the malefactors who was crucified with him. First, Jesus revealed that such a place called paradise exists. That He and He alone could grant access. A place that Jesus called home-paradise! I pray we are all fixed to go there someday. Knowing this that for all of God's favored children who are truly mindful of this eternal home; the life they live today will truly reflect the paradise of tomorrow.
