Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12)
How well Father God knows our hearts. What loving and caring advice is enhanced in this proverb; leading to Jesus (the tree of life). The Lord knows our heart aches. These encouraging words, "when the desire comes," lights a candle in our inward parts that no man can put out. Would Father God have written this if he did not intend to fulfill the desired petition?
There has been much suffering and pain in my body these past six weeks. Not only in my life, but because of my conditions others have had to carry a heavier cross. Although God's mercies have brought me far into restoration, all is not complete. Many a day my heart was sick. Jesus felt not only my heart's cry, but has brought his life into my despair.
Yes, hope deferred maketh the heart sick; but keep trusting in the Lord Jesus and your desire will come.
