![]() So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it. (Isaiah 55:11) As we approach the celebration of Easter, I thought of how remarkable the word of God is. Nothing, no nothing can void out its intended purpose. Joseph found this out when the word tried him, kept him and raised him up to be the second highest in Egypt; therefore delivering the 12 patriarchs of Israel from famine. God's purposes were accomplished. The word prospered and was pleasing in his sight. The inspired word of God did not go void! Again, Jonah knew the power of God's word as it brought him deliverance from the belly of the great fish. Jonah simply sent the word on to God's ears. These words had already been declared in the Scriptures; again they did not go void! Jesus sent forth the word of his God his Father upon Lazarus, blind Bartimaeus, the five loaves and two fishes, Simon Peter and so on; the results always the same, very pleasing in Father God's sight! Beloved the Scriptures are immovable, complete and will accomplish God's purpose in every situation. We only need to parallel each of life's situations with one already expressed in the Scriptures. As we add our faith and trust to the word of God, so shall we prosper! Praise the Lord!
