The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe. ( Proverbs 18:10 )

Last night at the praise and worship outreach, as the programs of songs were completed, there was a prevailing atmosphere of God's presence . No one wanted to stop worshiping and so the song titled, "Strong Tower," was played. The name of Jesus was being lifted up from hearts filled with love for Him. How awesome and marvelous this was just to be there surrounded by angelic visitation. As a result, through God's grace and mercies, the family of God was increased. Salvation was had and there was not only joy in the presence of the angels in heaven; but also here on earth. Yes, once again the lifting up of the name of Jesus made all the difference. For we truly are laborers in His harvest!

But they which shall be accounted to obtain that world, and the  resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: neither can they die anymore: for they are equal unto the angels: and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. ( Luke 20:35& 36)

Most of us have heard the saying, "stop and smell the roses." This saying was birthed out of a need to slow a busy person down, making him enjoy what already exists around him. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in
me, though he were dead, yet shall he live ."( John 11:25)

In the book of the song of Solomon, Jesus refers to himself as 'the rose of Sharon and the Lily of the valleys'. ( Song of Solomon 2:1 ) Sometimes we can get so busy with our lives, even God's busyness, that we forget to stop and have
fellowship with Jesus. If things are going well and everything is coming up roses, take time
with your Lord and Savior. As the sweet smell of a rose so will  your fellowship be with him. Never allow your blessings to crowd out the one who gave them to you.

If you're in the valleys of tribulations and sorrows; by taking time out to be with Jesus, the Lily of the Valley, His uplifting fragrance of hope, faith and love will be yours.

Beloved, Jesus will light up any life in a moment; if the switch is turned on. Praise the Lord!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ( Ephesians 2:10 )

The new man created in Christ is God's masterpiece, His poem set to music –
a song. Singing and making melody in your heart unto the Lord. Praise is God's
sunlight in the heart. It destroys sin germs. It ripens the fruit of the Spirit.
It is the oil of gladness that lubricates life's activities. There can be no
holy life without it. It keeps the heart pure and the eye clear. Praise is
essential to the knowledge of God and His will. The strength of a life is the
strength of its song.

When the pressure is heavy, that is the time to sing. Pressure is permitted
to strengthen the attitude and spirit of praise. It takes a man or a woman to
sing in the darkness, when the storm and the battles are raging, and it is such
singing that makes the child of God! Praise the Lord!

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:7 –8)This is yet another gem in the treasure house of the holy Scriptures. Its brilliance illuminates truths that are hard to be found by this world's standards. Here the Spirit of the Living Word instructs all God's favored children to fight for their faith. Keep all its precepts, doctrine and statutes. The world fights for "the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life." (1 John 2:16) Our fight is to please God; for "the just shall live by faith." ( Habakkuk 2:4 ) If you do this willingly, to the end of your life, a crown will be reserved for you. This crown will be awarded on judgment day; to these words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." ( Matthew 25:21)The key that unlocks the whole thing is love. The rule of thumb is Jesus. When Jesus asked Peter, "loveth thou me more than these?" ( John 2!:15) I have to ask myself, how much do I really love Jesus? Enough to have him appear in every area of my present life? You be the judge. Praise the Lord!
