O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. (Psalm 136:1)

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:1-3) As we look up sometimes at night, we behold the splendor of the starry sky. Acres and acres of shining brightness, accented by the darkness all around. The darkness seems to reveal the light to even a greater glory. As tribulations and hardships come our way because of abounding iniquity, Jesus said, so let your light shine that anyone who looks will see your brightness among so much darkness that exists in this world today. Beloved, losing one's life for Christ can never be easy. However, when we read of the coming age in the book of Daniel, the gain will definitely outweigh the loss. Humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:6&7) Ever since Father God created man, both male and female, his guiding hand has enlightened, guided and protected all seeking his touch. However, between God and man there lie many barriers. Moses sat all day before the children of God; enlightening their troubles with the wisdom of God. (Exodus 18:13-16) Because Moses possessed natural limitations; the Israelites had to wait in line. Sometimes days went by before they could bring their burdens before God's chosen. Many became discouraged, leaving the long lines to work out their troubles, void of God's wisdom and knowledge. This is not true for us; we have Jesus!Long lines are no longer a barrier. The Lord Jesus will immediately hear your petitions and prayers. He will lift the heavy burdens created by the "cares of this world," exalting you to heavenly places. For God resisteth the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Thank God for his compassion, love and mercies. |
