For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
Some years ago, this holy child Jesus had me to spend a few days in Annapolis Maryland. This city was the first capital of the United States. As I was there, waiting on the Lord in a certain part of the city, I couldn't help but notice how manicured the homes were. They almost looked fake! This was done, so they say, to preserve the aesthetics of their original character.. As much as I would liked to have believed this, too many modern methods and materials were used. This altering the original designers goal. Beloved, do not allow modern religion to façade the true word of God! This holy child Jesus is as powerful today as he was at birth. Mighty God, everlasting Father, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace! When you or I really get right down to it, this holy 'Son of God' that is birth in our hearts, still comes with all the trimmings.

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. (Daniel 7:9 &10) Yes, ten thousand times ten thousand, millions of people thronged about Jesus! They are in admiration, praise and honor for him who sits on the throne. Jesus certainly is the center of all attention and rightly so. In this picture of judgment, you will be blessed to be part of the millions around the throne. Yet, how insignificant are we as we blend into the sea of the redeemed. How outstanding Jesus is, he seems to capture the whole picture. Not only is this a future scene of what God will do, but is part of the eternal scene. What draws so many people to forget themselves and throw all their attention, admiration, respect, honor and praise to Jesus. Obviously they know all about him and what he has done for them. Beloved, is this the way you feel about Jesus today? Is he the center of your existence? Live his word ( by keeping His commandments ), love one another and be blessed! For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4)
Praise the Lord, with the harp (guitars), symbols (drums), flute, keyboard instrument, tambourines and voices on high. Once again, we can clearly see that worship is very close to Father God's heart. Anytime Jesus is magnified and glorified on high, the holy ghost's presence will fill the room, igniting the hearts of God's favored children. This we will experience here this morning, as we praise God. However, there is still more to come. We are about to hear the Scriptures expounded upon through the anointing of God's Holy Spirit. In the above Scripture, it proclaims that there is also a feast about to be had; even for the hungriest of souls. We are enlightened to the fact that the Bible was written strictly for our benefit. As we read about the lives of those who have gone on before us, blazing a trail of glory for God's habitation, we all can benefit from their awe- inspiring examples. This will enhance our lives with solid advice and comforting reality. Jesus himself will stand at the door of our heart and knock. What will he say to you this morning? How will you respond? Jesus is a personal savior and God is a most wonderful Father. One thing I do know, no matter what the Spirit of God shares with you this morning, through patience and the comfort of God's love, you will be victorious! Praise the Lord! April 10. 2016 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:17& 18)
What a most powerful mover of the mind these Scriptures are. The reader cannot help but think of the awesome value of a saved soul. When I read these words, "scarcely be saved," a reality of truth ignites my soul; setting it ablaze with fearfulness, yet joyful emotions. Journeying through this life seems to carry with it a destination which no one can avoid. Denial will not make it go away. Fraudulent theories or so-called religions will not appease the sick and dying soul. Only the great physician of spiritual health can do anything. We must all go to him, Jesus, and tell him all our troubles. Read the Bible for all your spiritual medicines and follow their instructions. If misused, they will cause even a greater pain than you or I could ever imagine. You may ask why? It's one thing to lose a house, car, financial amounts or for that matter anything in this world; but to lose your eternal soul would be devastating. Think on these things and proceed. Praise the Lord! April 3, 2016 Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, he is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man (Jesus) must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. (Luke 24:5- 7)
Yes he is risen, glory hallelujah! But where is he now? The Scriptures tell us that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. And Jesus said, "I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. (John 20:17) Can Jesus be seen today yet a little closer than the immeasurable heights of heaven? I once read about a man, while serving in the military , had passed away. His toe was labeled and his earthly remains placed in the proper housing, awaiting burial. He still being alive, yet without a body, had the most amazing visit from the Lord Jesus. He then found himself living once again in his earthly body. Sometime later, he was injured in battle and needed medical repair. As the medic ministered to his wounds, this man once again felt the presence of Jesus, as it was at the time of his visitation. To no surprise he found out that the medic was a profess Christian; Jesus's presence was emulating from this medic. Take a look around today. Do you see him? When you gaze in the mirror, do you see him? "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in ! (Revelation 3:20 ) Have a blessed Easter Holiday! I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most high. (Psalm 9:1 & 2)
When I woke up this morning, I could feel the sweetness of the Lord all around me. I immediately greeted Jesus with a holy kiss and thought, with much excitement, I would soon be in the house of God! I would be with the brethren and the presence of God would certainly be great. We will all faithfully worship Jesus, encouraging one another, and be lifted to heavenly places. I could hardly contain myself as I leapt out of bed. Just think, this the world does not have. So many people today will wake up with their troubles, sick bodies and minds as they try to draw some kind of happiness from this world we live in. In the Psalm we have just read; praise, worship and testimonies are so right to be heard in the house of God. We will hear testimonies of His marvelous works. Jesus will personally visit each of us. The catalysts of all good things, which is the Holy Ghost, will promote a closer relationship with God as our father. Sounds a little bit like heaven on earth! This is why I get so excited on Sunday mornings. |
