Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5& 6)
As we enter yet into another year of the Lord, 2015, I cannot help but think what awaits us. Will it be a good year or a lean year? Will sickness or good health be the vehicle to take us through our daily routines? Will this be the year Father God calls you home to be with him for eternity or will great trials of faith be your diet?
Some people are always worried. They are always preparing. Concerned what will tomorrow bring for themselves and others; they never bring themselves to a full rest in the peace of God. Their plans are opposed to the inevitable change that happens to all of us. Happiness, contentment and peace of mind seem to be the elusive culprits they can never catch.
On the other hand there are the, "live and let live people." No substance to their lives, no past, no future only a present. A free will spirit that opposes responsibilities for themselves and others alike. There is no real fear of God in them; leaving everything to chance. They have been accustom to a large dose of self.
However, we can see in these Proverbs a guide, a friend and a counselor suited to take us through whatever this new year will bring. 'For to trust in the Lord with all thy heart and to allow your understanding to be directed by the knowledge of the Lord', will always produce the journey that Father God intended.
