Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come .(Psalm 71:18) Can you imagine that? Our Heavenly Father has encouraged us, no, he has declared to us that age and other circumstances can never void out his existence of character. I see so many people winding down their years trapped in their own limitations. Not so with the true believer. In this Scripture, we see Almighty God not limiting himself to our limitations. At any age, one's natural abilities or inabilities are the springboard into the world of faith and God's love. Since the beginning of time man has followed the same pattern: birth, life, and then death. When we are born again (1 Peter 1:23), a new format of eternal life prevails. All the effects of aging, sickness, intellectual abilities and so on, must give way to Father God's strength and power. Moses started his spiritual career at the ripe age of 80 years old. The Scripture also records that at 120 years of age his natural force was not abated (Deuteronomy 34:7). Hard to imagine? Not so easy to comprehend? I would have to agree with you had the natural process been left up to Moses or for that matter, anyone else. Beloved, it is God's power that makes the difference. And Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). Want some? Only believe!
