Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come. (Psalm 71:18) Can you imagine that? Our Heavenly Father has encouraged us; no, he has declared to us, that age and other circumstances can never void out his existence of character. I see so many people winding down their lives; trapped in their own limitations. Not so with the true believer. In this Scripture, we see Almighty God not limiting himself to our limitations. At any age; one's natural abilities or inabilities are the springboard into the world of faith and God's love. Since the beginning of time, it's been the same pattern; birth, life and then death. When we are born again (1 Peter 1:23), a new format of eternal life prevails. All the effects of aging, sickness, intellectual abilities and so on, must give way to Father God's strength and power. Moses started his spiritual career at the ripe age of 80 years old. The Scriptures also record's that at 120 years of age, his natural force was not abated. (Deuteronomy 34:7). This is hard to imagine and not so easy to comprehend. Had the natural process been left up to Moses or for that matter anyone else, it would have been different. Beloved, it is God's power that makes the difference. And Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) Only believe! Praise the Lord!
